New data from Creditsafe has found that 2,608 companies in the UK became insolvent in February 2024 – a 34% increase compared to January and a rise of 12% compared to the same month in 2023. 17% of insolvencies in February came from within the UK construction sector, with 440 Construction companies becoming insolvent – 17% of all company insolvencies in 2024 so far.  Creditsafe also advises that the total number of UK company insolvencies for 2023 was 30,199. This number represents a 12% increase compared to the same period in 2022 and a 52% increase compared to 2021.
